BWC Posts Proposed Changes to Fee Schedule for Hospitals

After a review of its medical fee schedule for hospital inpatient services, the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation is making a few changes. The changes appear to be minor, but strike language regarding Medicare and Medicaid's electronic health record incentive programs; Medicare cost-reporting requirements; and physician certification of claims. The reimbursement rates for acute and subacute detoxification services, the only services listed in the fee schedule appendix, will remain the same.
