A federal judge allowed a group of nine firefighters' racketeering claims against York Risk Services to proceed on Thursday, when he denied the third-party administrator's motion to dismiss the case. Judge John W. Sedwick of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona decided that the plaintiffs in Miller v. York Risk Services Group had adequately pleaded a claim for damages under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
