A workers’ compensation reform bill that was supposed to be heard before the House Commerce Committee today was pulled from the agenda late Tuesday.
House Bill 7085, sponsored by Rep. Danny Burgess, R-Zephyrhills and chairman of the House Insurance and Banking Subcommittee, would increase the duration of total temporary wage-replacement benefits from 104 weeks to 260 weeks, in accordance with the Florida Supreme Court's decision in Bradley Westphal v. City of St. Petersburg.
