A divided West Virginia Supreme Court ruled that a worker was entitled to benefits for hearing loss from his industrial noise exposure.

Facts: Steven Davis worked as a machine operator for Bayer CropScience for more than 20 years. After switching to an office job in March 2015, Davis filed a workers’ compensation claim for hearing loss.
Dr. P.C. Corro opined that Davis’ hearing loss was directly attributable to, or aggravated by, Davis’ industrial noise exposure.
