Qmedtrix Systems Inc. announced on Wednesday that it is opposing a proposed settlement that would give competitor Fairpay Solutions an exclusive and virtually lawsuit-proof methodology for repricing outpatient services. The Portland, Ore.-based bill review service filed a motion on Wednesday in the state Court of Louisiana to contest the settlement agreement in a class-action lawsuit filed by a group of hospitals and surgery centers against Fairpay, which is based in Addison, Texas.
