Rules Commission Approves Ambulatory Surgery Center Fee Schedule

The North Carolina Rules Review Commission has approved a rule proposed by the Industrial Commission setting maximum reimbursement for ambulatory surgery centers at 200% of the Medicare rate, but state lawmakers will have the final word.  The state’s Administrative Procedures Act requires legislative review of proposed rules when more than 10 objections have been received.
