Workers’ comp net written premiums are expected to hit a record high this year, as private carriers enjoy another year of profitability, according to a new report from the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
The NCCI financial results report updates figures NCCI presented during its Annual Issues Symposium in May.
For 2016, NCCI has estimated workers’ compensation premium volume, net of reinsurance, to be $40.1 billion for private carriers. That would be the highest net written premium volume on record for private carriers.
