Business Owner Accused of $1.1M Premium Fraud Scheme

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that a Houston business owner was charged with perpetrating a seven-year scheme to evade $1.1 million in workers’ compensation premiums. Kunal “Sonny” Puri was arrested Wednesday on charges of securing execution of documents by deception with intent to harm or defraud, the agency said.
