The Oregon Medical Advisory Committee said it will accept testimony on a draft recommendation that two-level cervical artificial disk replacement should be a compensable service for injured workers, during an Oct. 16 meeting.
A subcommittee tasked with deciding whether two-level cervical disk replacements should be covered found that the procedure is not experimental and that evidence demonstrates the procedure is effective. The subcommittee also said disk replacements are within the current standard of care.
