Full Senate to Reconsider Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund Bill

The state Senate will again take up a bill that would shore up funding for the Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund. The full chamber considered Senate Bill 676 in June, but the proposal languished in the Appropriations Committee for several months before the panel voted Monday to send it back to the floor. Sen. John Gordner, R-Berwick, introduced the bill on May 4. It first went to the Labor and Industry Committee, which returned it to the floor in an amended form in June.  The bill's intention is to "address the underfunding of the Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund." ...
