A Tampa power plant where five workers were killed and another burned by the release of molten slag in June has been fined by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Tampa Electric Co. and Gaffin Industrial Services are facing proposed penalties of $160,972 combined under citations OSHA issued on Wednesday. The companies have 15 business days to contest the citations.
