The Ombudsman for Injured Workers is now the Ombuds Office for Oregon Workers and has expanded its role to also help workers protect their rights under the state’s Occupational Safety and Health Division’s rules and laws.
The ombudsman office was created in 1987 to serve as an independent advocate for injured workers by helping them understand their rights and responsibilities and to investigate and resolve complaints. The independent office is part of the Department of Consumer and Business Services.
