Report: Law Change May Be Needed for Officers Injured in Vegas Shooting

At least 16 law enforcement officers from Southern California have filed workers’ compensation claims for injuries sustained during the Las Vegas shooting, but legislative action may be necessary for them to receive benefits, according to a report by the Orange County Register. Orange County on Monday rejected claims filed by for sheriff’s deputies injured in the Oct. 1 shooting.
