COVID-19 Claims Drop in June

The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation reported that the number of claims for COVID-19 fell in June after climbing in May. The DWC reports 591 COVID-19 claims were filed in June, down nearly 25% compared to the 787 claims filed in May. More COVID-19 claims were filed in May than any other month in 2022 except January, when 5,982 claims were submitted. The division reports that 8,317 claims for COVID-19 were filed in 2022, representing about 21% of the 39,395 indemnity claims.
