Seven years after deciding not to participate in a multi-state settlement with Purdue Pharma L.P. for misbranding OxyContin, the state of Kentucky is pushing ahead with its own lawsuit against the drug maker, accusing it of helping to foster the state’s problem with narcotic abuse.
