18, Including Doctor, Arrested in Bust of Oxycodone, Xanax Drug Ring

A North Jersey doctor has been accused of providing oxycodone and Xanax to a group of South Jersey drug dealers. Detectives arrested Dr. Craig Gialanella, 53, of North Caldwell, last week along with 17 members of the alleged drug ring.  Gialanella is accused of writing prescriptions to the members of the drug ring run by Douglas Patterson, 53, of Egg Harbor Township; his ex-wife, Mary Connolly, 54; and her three children, Michael, 33, Robert, 31, and Lauren, 28, prosecutors say.
