Governor Signs Law Requiring Benefits Reports, New Vision Loss Method

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has signed into law a bill that will help ensure faster payments of benefits and will change the method of determining benefits for vision loss. Senate Bill 269, authored by Sen. Jon Ford, R-Terre Haute, is now state law, effective July 1. It requires insurers and employers to file a report with the Workers' Compensation Board within 14 days of the date the first benefits are due. The report must attest that the payments were made.
