The Kansas Court of Appeals upheld an award of benefits to a truck driver for his injuries from a single-vehicle accident with no known cause.

Facts: Michael Ray Stepter worked for the LKQ Corp. as a truck driver. In June 2013, the company rented a truck for him to deliver car parts to repair shops in western Kansas.
Stepter crashed the truck at around 1:30 p.m. on June 19, 2013. He later testified that he had no recollection of what happened, and that he believed he must have fallen asleep or passed out.
