A national employers' organization is dedicating itself to bringing workers’ compensation opt-outs to other states besides Texas and Oklahoma.
The Association of Responsible Alternatives to Workers’ Compensation, still in its infancy after forming late last year, sets its sights on advocating for nonsubscription, Executive Director Richard Evans said in an interview Thursday. The Austin, Texas-based group is planning to target two states for alternative workers’ comp advocacy for the 2015 legislative session, then hone in on additional states in future years.
