The Indiana State Senate’s Committee on Pensions and Labor has recommended that the chamber pass a workers’ compensation reform bill that would, among other things, establish a time frame for compensation payments and penalize employers who fail to pay on time.
Sen. Jon Ford, R-Terre Haute, sponsored the bill, which was introduced Jan. 4. On Thursday, his chamber’s Committee on Pensions and Labor voted 9-0 to recommend the bill.
