The South Dakota State Senate Commerce and Energy Committee has unanimously passed legislation that would adopt a 2015 State Supreme Court decision that requires employers to pay disability benefits to injured workers based on all of the jobs they held at the time of their injury.
House Bill 1084, authored by Rep. David Anderson, R-Hudson, and co-sponsored by 25 other legislators, was awaiting hearing in the state Senate as of Thursday. The Commerce and Energy Committee approved the measure on Tuesday.
