Doctors, Pharm Agents Can Soon File Dispute Resolution Requests Electronically

Starting next month, Texas physicians and pharmacy processing agents will be able to request medical fee dispute resolutions through encrypted email, fax or secure file transfer protocol, the Division of Workers' Compensation said in a bulletin.  Currently, requests can be made only through the mail or by hand-delivered correspondence. The finalized rules will be published in the Jan. 29 edition of the Texas Register, the bulletin noted. The rule change will take effect Feb. 22.
