Optum's Surgical Care Affiliates Expands Connecticut Presence

Surgical Care Affiliates Inc., a unit of Optum, has made an equity investment in Western Connecticut Orthopedic Surgery Center, the company announced on Wednesday. WCOSC, a multi-specialty facility in Danbury, has 14 physician partners specializing in orthopedic and spine procedures, as well as pain management. It is now jointly owned by SCA and the physician partners.
