The owner of a cleaning company has been charged with failing to maintain workers’ compensation coverage and with underreporting payroll by more than $300,000, the Rhode Island attorney general said Thursday.
Marcello Pompa, 37, of Saugus, Massachusetts, also underpaid 16 workers between 2017 and 2019, when the cleaning service went out of business, Attorney General Peter Nehrona said in a bulletin.
