The current chief executive officer of the Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission will become the first female circuit judge in Saline County when her one-year bench appointment begins Dec. 18.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced Barbara Webb's appointment on Monday. She will replace Judge Bobby McCallister, who resigned after he was arrested for allegedly failing to pay state income taxes for four years. McAllister earned $163,200 in the position.
