DWC Extends Deadline on COVID Data Call

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation has expanded the time frame for a COVID-19 comp claims data call. The division said in a bulletin that the data call for participating carriers, self-insurers, hospital districts, cities and counties should now include information on claims filed through the end of June this year. “To ensure that DWC has sufficient information to determine the impact of COVID-19 injuries on the Texas workers’ compensation system, DWC has extended the data call through June 2021,” the bulletin reads.
