Maine’s medical fee schedule has managed to stabilize workers’ compensation medical costs, and requests for vocational rehabilitation by injured workers have leveled off, according to the 2016 Annual Report on the Status of the Maine Workers’ Compensation System.
The report covers the three main bodies involved in the system: The Maine Workers’ Compensation Board, the state Bureau of Insurance and the state Bureau of Labor Standards – the workplace safety agency.
