A Norwich woman has been charged with one count of workers’ compensation fraud for allegedly collecting benefits from one company while driving a truck for another, Chief State’s Attorney Kevin T. Kane said.
Stephanie L. Hart, 45, was released from jail on a written promise to appear Sept. 1 in Norwich Superior Court.
Last Oct. 11, Hart reported a work-related knee injury as an oil delivery driver for Nikko Oil LLC of Canterbury. From Oct. 12 to March 1, she received temporary total disability benefits totaling $7,253.
