OSHA Extends Comment Deadline on Silica Rule Changes to Jan. 27

The deadline to submit written comments and testimony regarding the U.S Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration proposal to cut the permissible occupational exposure limit of crystalline silica in half is being extended by 47 days to Jan. 27, 2014.OSHA announced the extension in a Friday press release to allow additional time to comment on the proposed rule and supporting analyses.
