House Passes Bill to Ease Cancer Presumption Requirements

The Arizona House of Representatives on Thursday unanimously passed a bill that would remove some barriers firefighters and peace offices must clear to trigger a presumption that cancer is an occupational condition. The House voted 59-0 to pass by HB 2506, by Rep. Kevin Payne, R-Peoria. The bill appears to be substantially similar, if not identical to, Senate Bill 1451, which the Senate voted 22-8 to pass in February.
