Quinn to Sign Comp Bill Today, but Questions on Causation Remain

Pat Quinn plans to sign and celebrate the workers' compensation bill passed by lawmakers on May 31 during four stops today, but the legislation isn’t expected to end the push for more reforms, including a change in the causation standard.The governor has scheduled stops at Navistar in Melrose Park, Ingersoll Machine Tools in Rockford, Kraft Foods in Champaign and Aslin Manufacturing in Marion.Quinn calls the “historic” changes made by the legislation a “giant step” in overhauling the state’s workers’ ...
