Florida workers’ compensation fraud investigators made 407 arrests and secured 360 convictions in fiscal 2017, slightly down from the year before and significantly less than in fiscal 2015, a new report states.
Investigators probed 74 shell companies in fiscal 2017 and identified $400 million in fraud transactions, leading to the arrests of one facilitator and 34 shell company owners.
