Agency Cracking Down on Rejected Settlements

The Workers’ Compensation Commission is trying to reduce the volume of rejected settlements at the intake stage. In a notice to stakeholders on Thursday, the agency requested that legal practitioners carefully review all settlements and ensure they are accurate and completed properly before submitting them. Common errors are missing signatures, incorrect insurers listed, wrong claim numbers and incorrect dates of accident.
