The California Assembly Insurance Committee will hear testimony on bills addressing medical provider networks and presumptions on Tuesday.
The committee will hear AB 399, by Assemblyman Rudy Salas, D-Bakersfield, which would authorize an injured worker to request the medical provider network name and network identification number when the employer objects to the selection of a treating physician because the doctor is not in the network.
The employer would be required to provide the requested information within five business days under AB 399.
