The California Division of Workers’ Compensation on Wednesday proposed increasing the flat rate for copy services to $230 from $180, a slight increase over a proposal from 2021 that would have increased the payment to $225.
The division is also proposing to eliminate a meet-and-confer requirement when a claims administrator, carrier or employer objects to a written request for records.
Under the latest proposal, the flat rate of $230 would include an initial set of records of up to 500 pages retrieved from a single source and be inclusive of mileage, postage, pickup and delivery fees, ...
