Fraud Update On Tap for Next CHSWC Meeting

Commissioners of California’s labor-management advisory panel will hear a brief on fraud-fighting efforts during their next meeting Dec. 15 in Oakland. Division of Workers’ Compensation Chief Judge Paige Levy and Mi Kim, an attorney in the Department of Industrial Relations Anti-Fraud Unit, are scheduled to brief the commissioners on an upcoming anti-fraud report. The DWC has suspended 115 providers since the start of the year, when a new law took effect requiring the suspension of any provider convicted of defrauding a health care program.
