Bundled Payment for Workers' Comp Addiction Treatment Rolled Out at UCLA

In one of the first examples of a bundled payment system in workers’ compensation, payers can now send injured workers to the University of California, Los Angeles for up to six months of outpatient treatment for pain and addiction at a capped cost. The program is a partnership between the Center for Behavioral & Addiction Medicine at UCLA, which provides the medical facilities and clinicians, and R&Q Healthcare Interests, which sells the program to workers’ comp payers.
