Bill Proposes to Adopt ABC Test of Employment Status

A bill introduced in New Jersey would adopt a three-part test to determine whether workers are employees or independent contractors. New Jersey Senate President Stephen Sweeney, D-West Deptford, introduced S4204 on Nov. 7, proposing to create a rebuttable presumption that workers are employees and not independent contractors.
