The author of a California bill that would ban workers’ comp apportionment based on race, gender and other protected attributes is reviewing proposed amendments that would limit the scope of the legislation, a spokesman for the lawmaker said Monday.
Senate Bill 788, by Sen. Steven Bradford, D-Gardena, would prohibit consideration of certain characteristics to determine the percentage of permanent disability caused by factors other than work-related injuries.
