In its latest Medical-Legal Fee Schedule offering, the Division of Workers’ Compensation has upped the proposed payment for med-legal exams and proposed payment for no-shows and canceled appointments, two elements requested by California’s qualified medical evaluators and like-minded stakeholders.
But based on initial reactions submitted to the DWC, the med-legal community doesn’t appear any happier with this latest proposal, possibly renewing a stalemate going back to the spring of 2018, when the efforts to overhaul the MLFS began.
