Volunteer Firefighter Arrested For Allegedly Working While on Benefits

State officials arrested a Connecticut volunteer firefighter on Thursday for allegedly doing construction work while collecting workers' compensation benefits. The Office of the Chief State's Attorney charged Anthony P. Skut, 57, of Coventry, with one count of fraudulent receipt of benefits and one count of perjury.
