A mail-order pharmacy owned by a Pennsylvania claimants’ law firm and a group of physicians who refer injured workers there for prescription drugs is a blatant breach of medical ethics, a bioethicist said Monday.
Dr. Steven Joffe at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine also said the business arrangement raises troubling questions about whether the patients are getting appropriate care.
