Board's New Medical Policy Director Too Cozy With Employers, Insurers, Attorneys Charge

The New York Workers' Compensation Board dropped what some worker advocates are calling another bombshell amidst the agency's long-simmering hostilities with some members of the claimants' bar. The board appointed Dr. James Tacci to the newly created position of medical policy director. Tacci is a professor at the University of Rochester's occupational medicine center and a workers' comp independent medical examiner.
