A former Los Angeles police officer has been charged with illegally collecting workers’ compensation benefits before resigning in 2016, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced last week.
Michael Simon, 39, is charged with two felony counts of workers’ compensation insurance fraud and one felony count of grand theft of more than $950. As of Thursday, arraignment had not been scheduled.
