A bill that would have established an Official Disability Guidelines formulary ran out of time and failed to attract the support of a Louisiana Senate committee, its sponsor said Monday.
“We just didn’t have the votes. Plus, I still think the governor would have vetoed it,” said Rep. Kirk Talbot, R-River Ridge.
The House passed HB 592 on May 23 by a 58-36 vote, but Talbot said he had the votes of only two or three of the seven senators on the Labor and Industrial Relations Committee, which Democrats control 4-3 over Republicans.
