Governor Extends COVID Presumption

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signed into law a bill extending for another year the presumption that COVID-19 is compensable for frontline workers. Walz on Friday enacted HF 1203, by Rep. Dan Wolgamott, D-St. Cloud, to reinstate the presumption that COVID-19 is compensable for doctors, nurses, police, firefighters, paramedics and other frontline workers. The presumption expired at the end of 2021. HF 1203 was the first bill Minnesota lawmakers passed this year.
