The 1st District Appellate Court of Illinois on Wednesday overturned a lower court decision denying a petition from an injured worker to intervene in a third-party claim that her employer filed. On the same day, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania prohibited the City of Philadelphia from taking part of a police officer’s award in a third-party liability case.
