XL Buys Naming Rights to Hartford Civic Center

The main sporting venue for the hometown to much of the U.S. insurance industry will be renamed "XL Center" under an agreement announced Tuesday between XL Insurance and the owner of the venue.XL Insurance said in a press release that it signed a six-year deal with Northland AEG LLC for naming rights to the Hartford Civic Center, which includes the 16,500 seat Veteran's Memorial Coliseum and the Exhibition Hall.
