Gov. John Bel Edwards enacted legislation adding his state to the list of jurisdictions where post-traumatic stress disorder is presumed to be a compensable condition for many first responders.
The Democratic governor on June 5 signed Senate Bill 107, by Sen. Ryan Gatti, R-Bossier City, that presumes post-traumatic stress disorder is compensable for local and state police, paid and volunteer firefighters, and emergency medical service personnel.
