Worker Who Fell From Ladder Gets Partial Summary Judgment

A New York appellate court ruled that a worker should have been granted summary judgment on his Labor Law claim based on his fall from a ladder. Case: Begeal v. Jackson, No. 532148, 09/16/2021, published. Facts: Scott Begeal worked for C&D Enterprises, an industrial painting company owned by Douglas Jackson. In February 2018, Begeal was asked to build a ventilation stack upon a commercial building that served as a C&D Enterprises facility. Begeal had to use an aluminum ladder owned by C&D.
